Behind the lens…
My name is Kelly, and I’m so pleased to connect with you. Flookburgh has always been home—I grew up here and have many fond memories of my childhood and teenage years in this special community. If you already follow my Facebook page, thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement. It truly means the world to me.
My journey into photography began during a very difficult time in my life. In 2013, my family and I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my father to bowel cancer. During his final weeks, St Mary’s Hospice offered us exceptional care and compassion. Their support left a lasting impact on me, and ever since, I’ve wanted to find a way to give back.
In early 2024, I discovered photography as a creative and therapeutic outlet. What started as a personal hobby quickly grew into something more, thanks to the incredibly positive response from the community. I began sharing my images on Facebook, and the encouraging feedback inspired me to take things a step further.
In December 2024—on a bit of a whim and in between running my full-time cleaning business—I created my first calendar featuring local scenes and moments I’d captured through the lens. To my delight, it was well-received, and now I’m excited to build on that momentum.
This year, I’m aiming to raise even more funds for St Mary’s Hospice through the sale of my 2025 calendar. Every purchase helps support the vital work they do for families like mine, and I’m truly grateful for your continued kindness and support.
